BENUE APC CRISIS: ALIA, AKUME FINALLY RECONCILE

The ongoing crisis within the Benue State chapter of the APC appears to have been resolved following a reconciliation between Governor Hyacinth Alia and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume. The peace meeting, convened at the instance of President Bola Tinubu, took place at the Benue State Government House and was attended by political leaders, traditional rulers, and clerics. Alia stated that the party will work towards his return to office in 2027 and that all APC members of the National Assembly from the state are expected to secure re-election in the next general elections.
