Abakaliki FC management have announced a 55-day end-of-season break for players and technical crew after their exit from the President Federation Cup. The Rice Boys are expected to resume on Saturday, July 25, 2026. Chairman Senator Obinna Ogba said the club would address all lapses noticed during the campaign ahead of the 2026–27 season. Abakaliki FC finished fifth in Conference B with 25 points and were eliminated by Barau FC in the Round of 32.
