Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele announced that the Senate Committee on Constitution Review will present its final report on the proposed creation of state police this week for consideration and approval. This move is part of the National Assembly's efforts to address insecurity challenges. Bamidele, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the committee, stated that once approved, the proposal will be transmitted to the 36 State Houses of Assembly for ratification. He held meetings with President Tinubu, Attorney-General Lateef Fagbemi, and Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu.
