Iran threatens to block all air traffic in the Middle East over US sanctions

Tehran is responding to new US sanctions that ban Iranian airlines from accessing regional airports, leading several countries like Iraq and the UAE to suspend flights to and from Iran. Mohammad Mokhber, advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, warned that if Iran cannot travel or receive airport services, no regional country will be able to do so either. Iran also proposed a ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and resuming nuclear negotiations in exchange for lifting the US naval blockade and easing oil sanctions, but President Trump rejected the offer. Iran has not publicly reacted to the rejection yet.
