Electric vehicle dealers in Kenya will benefit from an order of 600 units as part of a fleet expansion plan by the State, which also includes 2,423 petrol and diesel vehicles. The Treasury plans to lease primarily fully electric vehicles, including 335 4x4 pick-ups, 125 medium-duty 4x4 passenger vehicles, and 90 medium-duty 4x2 passenger vehicles. This initiative aims to reduce the use of internal combustion engine vehicles and support the local automotive industry.
