BoT takes over PDP leadership after Supreme Court verdict

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has formally assumed leadership of the party following a Supreme Court judgment. This ruling invalidated the November 2025 national convention that produced the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee. The BoT stated that this intervention was necessary to prevent a leadership vacuum at the national level and announced plans for an emergency NEC meeting.
