Two teenage terrorists surrender, 11-year-old female captive rescued

Two teenage members of a terrorist group, Umar Mohammed, 17, and Aliu Hassan, 13, surrendered to troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Monguno, Borno State, on September 4, 2026. They escaped from a terrorist camp due to harsh living conditions. Additionally, an 11-year-old girl, Aisha Mustafa, was rescued by troops of the 82 Division Task Force Battalion after being abducted for a suspected spying mission in Gwoza.
