Dangote Refinery: 2,930 Tonnes of Machinery Arrive in Lamu

The Port of Lamu received 2,930 tonnes of heavy machinery for the Dangote East Africa Refinery, delivered by MV Da Yang. The groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for next week, marking a major milestone in the $17 billion project. The refinery will process up to 700,000 barrels of crude oil daily, sourcing from Kenya’s Lokichar fields and other regions in East and Southern Africa. Kenyan authorities have expressed strong support for the project, including securing the land needed for construction.
