Menstrual Health: Facilitators Trained to Break Taboos Around Menstruation

More than twenty facilitators were trained in Koumassi, Ivory Coast, on September 26, 2026, by the Organization for Child, Women, and Family Health (OSEFF) to raise awareness about menstrual health and promote the Oky app. The training enhanced their knowledge about menstruation, addressed misconceptions, and prepared them to engage with adolescents both in schools and communities outside the school system. The session also introduced the Oky app, developed by PSI and UNICEF, which helps young girls track their menstrual cycle and access information on puberty and reproductive health. These facilitators are now ready to work in schools and remote communities.
