Real Madrid demands La Liga chief’s resignation after Goebbels comparison

Real Madrid demanded the immediate resignation of Javier Tebas, La Liga president since 2013, after he compared the club’s communications to Nazi propaganda methods. On social media, Tebas accused the club’s management of coordinating media mouthpieces and criticised Real Madrid TV’s coverage of officiating. He clarified that his comparison with Joseph Goebbels referred to propaganda techniques, not an ideology or Real Madrid’s supporters. The club also called for Tebas to resign as vice-president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, amid an ongoing dispute over refereeing.
