General Census: Local Authorities and Security Services Briefed on Their Roles

On September 24 in Kinshasa, Henri Marie Kazadi Mutombo, the national coordinator of the Central Census Office, and Elysée Chovu Alima, director of the National Institute of Statistics, briefed local authorities, security services, and intelligence representatives on their roles in implementing the RGPH-2. The preparatory phase involves census mapping, testing, recruitment, training, and awareness efforts to define the areas for the population count. This process, initiated after more than 42 years, is essential to update the demographic data of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
