Cambodia parliament approves law to combat cybercrime scam rings

Cambodia's National Assembly has approved its first law targeting scam centers accused of defrauding foreigners of billions of dollars. Justice Minister Keut Rith stated that the law aims to enhance the ongoing cleaning operation across the country and ensure these centers do not return after the crackdown. Punishments include two to five years in prison and fines up to $125,000 for online scams.
