Cameroon: Bamenda Called to Mobilize for the Visit of Pope Léon XIV

Archbishop Andrew Nkea of Bamenda urged the local population to gather in large numbers to welcome Pope Léon XIV from April 15 to 18. He emphasized the significance of this spiritual event to pray for peace and justice in a region affected by armed conflict since 2016, which has resulted in over 6,000 deaths and displaced more than a million people. A mass will be held at Bamenda airport, marking a significant occasion in this challenging context.
