CAN 2025: Senegal declared African champion

Senegal has been declared champion of Africa for CAN 2025, but the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has not yet issued a final decision on the Senegalese federation's appeal. CAF had stripped Senegal of the victory after a disciplinary sanction and awarded the title to Morocco. Journalist Alexandre Ruiz voiced support for Senegal, stating that the on-field result should stand. The case remains pending.
