Adzopé: Government accelerates new industrial zone project on 432 hectares

On June 17, 2026, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Craftsmanship Kalil Konaté led a delegation to Adzopé to inspect progress on the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) project spanning 432 hectares near Abidjan. The site features an electrical substation with 5 feeders, 3 dedicated to the zone, ensuring energy autonomy. The project, part of the 2026-2030 National Development Plan, is expected to create 51,000 direct and indirect jobs with an investment of 225 billion FCFA, including 52 billion in public funds. A financing request has been submitted to the West African Development Bank (BOAD).
