Celebration of August 7 in Yopougon: A National Colloquium Planned to Celebrate the Nation's Builders

The municipality of Yopougon and the NGO Ivorian Women in Politics (FIP) are organizing a national colloquium from August 1 to 4, 2026, for the 66th anniversary of Côte d'Ivoire's independence. Under the theme 'Woman, Leadership and Nation', the event aims to assess women's contribution since 1960 and formulate recommendations in a White Paper. Government members, experts, and academics will participate in debates on politics, education, health, economy, and gender diversity in professions. An exhibition will trace the history of Ivorian women and highlight women-led businesses.
