CESE Urges Rethink of Child Protection Reform in Morocco

The Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) has called for a reevaluation of Morocco's child protection reform, highlighting significant gaps in draft law No. 29.24. While the draft proposes the establishment of a National Agency for Child Protection, the CESE is concerned about its limited mandate, which mainly focuses on managing placement institutions. Additionally, the lack of a prior impact study raises questions about the rationale behind the agency's creation.
