China's Temu, JD.com among 5 summoned over false advertising

Chinese e-commerce giants Temu and JD.com were among five major platforms summoned for talks over misleading advertising on Thursday by Beijing's market watchdog. The Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation identified issues including false advertising for promotional events, irregular rules, and failing to disclose merchant information. The watchdog proposed rectification requirements ahead of the '6.18' online shopping festival. Also summoned were Pinduoduo, Douyin, and RedNote.
