Tanzania’s Vision 2050: Strategic Rail Modernization Driven by Landmark Partnership with Hyundai Rotem

Tanzania, under President Samia Suluhu Hassan's leadership, is advancing its Development Vision 2050 with significant modernization of its railway network. A key partnership with Hyundai Rotem is supplying 80 electric trains and 17 locomotives for the standard gauge railway network. This initiative aims to enhance transport capacity and reduce travel time between Dar es Salaam and Dodoma to approximately three hours while adopting sustainable transport solutions.
