Climate: Côte d'Ivoire Goes on the Offensive and Aims to Capture Billions Through Its Green Taxonomy

Côte d'Ivoire launched the inaugural workshop of the Working Unit for Taxonomy and Disclosure Monitoring (UTSTD) on April 9, 2026, in Abidjan. This initiative aims to transform the country's climate commitments into concrete actions to attract green financing. The establishment of the UTSTD, under the authority of the Prime Minister, marks a significant advancement in Ivorian climate governance, enabling the structuring of climate action and the implementation of the climate taxonomy. The workshop brought together unit members to formalize its operational framework and clarify the roles of each actor.
