Suspended bank manager Raed Cupido has made a third bail application ahead of his trial at the Cape Town Regional Court. He was arrested in June 2025 after police found 15 bricks of cocaine worth an estimated R18 million, along with several firearms in a storage unit. His co-accused, Christopher Carelse, was also arrested, and both are alleged to be 'first receivers' of drugs. The bail applications have been postponed to April 17, with the trial expected to start on May 27.
