Each year, the communities of Obecha and Okpai Obeze in Ndokwa East, Nigeria, come together for a ritual clearing of a four-kilometer road that connects them. On March 13, 2026, the Okpai Obeze community began the work of clearing the path, followed by a cultural procession to Obecha, where they were received by Chief Okwudili Famous Olise. This gathering was described as a celebration of unity and a symbol of friendship between the two communities.
