Conference on Agriculture in Maniema: Priority on Coffee, Cocoa, and Oil Palm

The first provincial conference on agriculture, environment, tourism, and water took place from April 6 to 9, 2026, in Kindu. Participants recommended prioritizing sustainable crops such as coffee, cocoa, and oil palm, while also calling for the rehabilitation of seed production centers. Access to drinking water was identified as a major issue, with recommendations to improve existing infrastructure. A monitoring committee was established to evaluate the implementation of the decisions made.
