Congo: Omar Daf Appointed Assistant Coach of Claude Le Roy

The Republic of Congo has officially appointed Claude Le Roy as head coach of the national team, with former Senegalese international Omar Daf as assistant. The contract signing will take place on June 22, 2026 in Brazzaville, with the Sports Minister and the President of the Congolese Football Federation present. The main goal is qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. Omar Daf, 49, has coached FC Sochaux and Amiens SC and was part of Senegal's staff at the 2018 World Cup.
