Consultations of DRC Socio-Political Actors by Evariste Ndayishimiye | Radio Okapi

Burundian President and African Union Chair Evariste Ndayishimiye met on Monday 7 July 2026 in Bujumbura with a delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo composed of opposition party leaders and religious figures. The talks focused on political, security, and institutional tensions in the DRC. Ndayishimiye expressed satisfaction with the open exchanges and stressed the importance of unity. The C64 opposition coalition reiterated that the constitution cannot be changed.
