Ivory Coast Social Housing: 13 Years Later, Only 42,000 Delivered Out of a Target of 150,000

The Presidential Program for the Construction of Social and Economic Housing (PPLSE), launched in 2012, aimed to build 150,000 housing units by 2025. However, only 42,000 units have been completed, reflecting a realization rate of 28%. Ivory Coast faces a housing deficit estimated between 600,000 and 800,000 units, with an annual additional need of 40,000 to 50,000 units due to a 3.7% urban growth rate.
