Ivory Coast: A baby stolen in 2023 in Abobo found in Issia after three years of disappearance

A three-year-old girl, kidnapped in 2023 during a wedding ceremony in Abobo, was found on May 12, 2026, in Issia by her biological mother, B. Rokia. The alleged kidnapper, D. Waraba, 20 years old, was sentenced to three years in prison for child abduction and had entrusted the girl to her mother, S. Nafou. The police investigation uncovered a large network of kidnappings and trafficking of minors.
