Alleged coup: Court orders speedy trial of 6 suspects, adjourns case to April 29

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered a speedy trial for six suspects accused of plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu's administration. Hearing dates have been set for April 29, April 30, May 4, and May 5. Although the Attorney General, Lateef Fagbemi, stated that the prosecution was ready, the defendants' lawyers expressed concerns about their preparedness due to the short notice.
