Court backs elite school for firing official over sexual harassment

The Employment and Labour Relations Court upheld the dismissal of Mr JMG, a long-serving supervisor at St. Andrew's School-Turi, for sexually harassing junior female employees. The school had conducted an internal investigation with the Agricultural Employers Association, and the court found the process lawful. The main complainant, a cleaner named MW, testified about a 2013 sexual assault in the music centre toilets and subsequent stalking. Mr JMG, who denied the allegations, lost his appeal.
