The High Court has restricted billionaire David Langat from selling or transferring three parcels of land in Nandi, Kericho, and Eldoret over a debt of Sh87 million. This decision follows an application by Synergy Industrial Credit Ltd, which accuses Langat of failing to repay loans granted to his company, DL Koisagat Tea Estate Ltd, in 2016. Despite promises to settle the debt, it has continued to rise, reaching Sh24 million as of July 2021.
