Court reinstates Equity Bank receiver managers in TransCentury

The High Court has restored control of TransCentury Plc to receiver managers appointed by Equity Bank, George Weru and Muniu Thoithi, due to a Sh6 billion debt. This ruling reverses interim orders that had temporarily restrained their management. TransCentury, which invested in energy and transport projects across East Africa, has been facing mounting debt and liquidity issues for several years.
