PDP crisis: Wabara-led BoT appoints 13-member NWC

The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, has appointed a 13-member interim National Working Committee (NWC) for the party. Wabara stated that this move was in accordance with the PDP constitution and emphasized that the Supreme Court judgment nullifying the Ibadan National Convention created a leadership vacuum. The decision was made during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held by the Tanimu Turaki bloc at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
