CS Davis Chirchir Sets Up Team to Investigate Kenyan Aircraft Crashes in Somalia and South Sudan

Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir, has established a special team to investigate accidents involving Kenyan aircraft in Somalia and South Sudan. The team, chaired by Captain Peter Maranga, will review preliminary accident reports from the last five years and may also investigate related matters. This initiative follows deadly crashes, including one in March 2025 near Mogadishu that killed all five Kenyan crew members on board.
