The Nigeria Customs Service, in partnership with the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), has launched a reform agenda aimed at improving port operations. During a workshop in Apapa, Customs Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi outlined a five-pillar strategy focused on optimizing inspections and clearance timelines. He emphasized the need for rigorous implementation and intelligence-led cargo processing. PEBEC Director-General Zahrah Mustapha-Audu also stressed the importance of adopting data-driven inspection systems to reduce business costs.
