DRC: Nearly 500,000 children deprived of school due to conflicts and other incidents

Nearly 500,000 children in the Democratic Republic of Congo are deprived of school, with 1,131 schools closed mainly due to insecurity and armed conflicts. South Kivu is the most affected, with 462 closed schools and 261,223 children out of school. The report also indicates that 6,745 schools and over 2.3 million children are affected by various incidents, with 43% related to wars and insecurity.
