Abuse of RNLI volunteers 'wholly unacceptable', chief says

RNLI chief executive Peter Sparkes stated that the charity's volunteers have faced online and physical abuse since anti-migrant protests. He condemned the deliberate misinformation surrounding the RNLI and asserted that threats against volunteers are unacceptable in a civilized society. Digital Secretary Lisa Nandy also expressed concerns about the sharing of personal information about volunteers on social media.
