Benue Chief Judge warns magistrates against corruption

The Chief Judge of Benue State, Hon. Justice Maurice Ahemba Ikpambese, warned magistrates against all forms of corruption during a strategic meeting in Makurdi. He emphasized that corruption includes favoritism, unnecessary adjournments, and manipulation of court records. He warned that any compromise of judicial independence erodes public confidence in the justice system. He reminded magistrates that their legacy is measured by fidelity to the judicial oath.
