England head coach Sarina Wiegman has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping her in charge through the end of the 2029 women’s European Championship. Since taking over in September 2021, she has led England to Euro titles in 2022 and 2025 and to the team’s first Women’s World Cup final in 2023. England will face Ukraine in a two-legged play-off in November and December for a place at next year’s World Cup in Brazil. Wiegman’s new deal also covers the 2027 Nations League, which serves as a qualifying tournament for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
