The son of a British couple jailed in Iran has called for a prisoner exchange to secure their release. Craig and Lindsay Foreman, from East Sussex, have been held since January 2025 and were sentenced to 10 years in February on espionage charges which they deny. Their appeal was rejected. Joe Bennett, Lindsay Foreman's son, proposes deporting an Iranian national held in the UK, but the Foreign Office and Deputy PM David Lammy dismiss the idea as not credible. The couple is on hunger strike, with Craig on day 30 and Lindsay on day 21.
