Vatican: JR creates a giant wave for the 'AQVA' exhibition at the apostolic library

Pope Leo XIV inaugurated the AQVA exhibition at the Vatican on September 14, 2026, dedicated to the various facets of water. Visitors enter the exhibition through Diluvium, a monumental 70-meter installation by French artist JR. Inside, artworks and rare books highlight water as a source of life and a destructive force, featuring creations by Bill Moran and Fulvio Pierangelini, as well as a 470-year-old work on aquatic animals by Ippolito Salviani.
