Netcare Diagnostics has introduced its first electric vehicles for pathology specimen collection, including routes in the Western Cape. The Geely E2 Aspire vehicles, purchased by Netcare Diagnostics, will operate in the Western Cape, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal, with charging stations installed at hospitals and laboratories. The vehicles will be used mainly on shorter urban routes, recharging while waiting for specimens. This move aligns with Netcare's sustainability goals, led by CEO Dr Richard Friedland, to minimize environmental impact.
