Dangote Refinery exported 44,000 barrels per day of gasoline in March 2026, making Nigeria a net petrol exporter for the first time with a surplus of about 3,000 b/d. This achievement marks a decisive turnaround for the country, which previously relied on imported refined petroleum products. The refinery also shipped gasoline to East Africa for the first time, sending a 317,000-barrel cargo to Mozambique.
