Daughter escapes as bandits kill Civil Defence officer in Kogi

A bandit attack on Odo-Ere, headquarters of Yagba West Local Government Area in Kogi State, resulted in the death of a Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer, Mr Ayo, who was shot in the head. His eldest daughter was abducted but escaped unharmed the next day, bringing cheers to the community. Police have commenced an investigation and a manhunt for the perpetrators.
