Death of General Braimah: Arrest of a teenager suspected of involvement in the attack in Nigeria

A 15-year-old teenager, Tijjani, was arrested by the Nigerian army following an attack on a military base in Borno State that resulted in the death of General Oseni Braimah and three soldiers. Tijjani claimed to have participated in attacks in the areas of Benisheik and Ngamdu and was transporting 850,000 naira to acquire equipment. Borno State remains a hotspot for insecurity, with frequent attacks on military positions, particularly by Boko Haram and ISWAP.
