Deregistration: Appeal Court should stop Justice Lifu from sitting as judge - Maxwell Okpara - Daily Post Nigeria

Human rights lawyer Maxwell Okpara said the Court of Appeal should have ordered Justice Peter Lifu to stop sitting after he ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political parties. The Abuja Court of Appeal ordered a stay of execution of the judgment. Okpara wondered what law students on internship would learn from such a ruling. He thanked the Appeal Court for rescuing the judiciary but argued it should have gone further.
