Final evacuation flight from South Africa to bring back 315 Nigerians Wednesday

The Nigerian government has finalized arrangements for the final evacuation of 315 stranded Nigerians from South Africa, arriving in Lagos on Wednesday via an Air Peace flight. The flight departs Johannesburg at 1:30 a.m. and lands at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 6:30 a.m. This fifth flight concludes the evacuation series following xenophobic attacks and security concerns in South Africa. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the government's commitment to protecting Nigerians abroad.
