Mountain bongos to be reintroduced in Kenya

The mountain bongo, an endangered antelope, is endemic to the mountainous forests of central Kenya. Fewer than a hundred individuals remain in the wild due to habitat destruction and illegal hunting. To enhance the genetic diversity of the population, four males born in European zoos will be transferred to the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy.
