Hundreds of kidnap victims freed by Nigerian jihadists

Several hundred people kidnapped by Boko Haram earlier this year in the village of Ngoshe, Borno State, were freed over the weekend. Samaila Kaigama, chairman of the Borno South Youth Alliance, said 416 women and children were released on Saturday. Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume confirmed the release to AFP. How the release was secured remains unknown.
