Students Injured After Bus Carrying 59 Learners Overturns on Eldama Ravine-Nakuru Road

More than 50 students were injured on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, when a school bus from Pineview Academy Kiplogon overturned near Kibasiso on the Eldama Ravine-Nakuru road. Brake failure caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which was carrying 59 learners to regional music festivals in Mogotio. All injured were taken to various hospitals, including Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital. Police have launched an investigation as the accident comes five days after another fatal crash involving a matatu carrying Ngondi Junior School students.
