Terrorists kill colonel, 6 soldiers during raid on military base in Borno

A colonel and six soldiers of the Nigerian Army were killed by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State. The attack occurred during an Operation HADIN KAI mission, where the colonel encountered an improvised explosive device while heading to the site of the attack. Additionally, a Mobile Police Officer and 13 others were killed in attacks by armed herdsmen in Benue State.
